The Biodiversity Indicators Dashboard is a web-enabled, interactive dashboard that enables tracking of biodiversity and conservation performance data in a clear, user-friendly format. It can help organizations track progress toward conservation targets, support monitoring and reporting, inform outcome-based policy making for the protection of natural resources, and catalyze necessary investments in information infrastructure. The dashboard enables users to track key indicators of biodiversity and conservation performance data. Example indicators include deforestation rate (for pressure on biodiversity), the IUCN Red List Index (for state of species), Key Biodiversity Areas (for conservation response), and freshwater provision (for benefits to human populations). It was set up to analyze three regions: the tropical Andes, the Great Lakes of Africa, and the Mekong River Valley, with potential to expand to any other geographic regions. This webinar will give an overview of the dashboard and its current and other possible uses. Learn more about the dashboard at www.natureserve.org/conservation-tools/projects/biodiversity-indicators-dashboard.
